-an old crt 📺, a blocky controller 🎮, and clunky graphics 👾. my introduction to 3d video games on systems like the n64, psone, and dreamcast—the “polygon era” █!I’d play platformers like sonic and mario 🏃♂️, fighters like mortal kombat 🥷, tekken, super smash 🥊, and soul calibur ⚔️, plus rail shooters like star fox 🦊 and house of the dead 2 🧟♂️! my basement became an arcade 🕹️, and if i was lucky i’d have friends and family competing in a multiplayer “lan party,” where we’d pool our systems, games, and controllers for a tournament to determine the top gamer 🏆! somewhere in those hours of coin collecting, the glitchy sounds and otherworldly textures found their way into my brain 🧠 like space invaders 👽—and later i found myself making electronic music. so here’s “Polygon Power” 👾—20 tracks of retro gaming-inspired music featuring friends. It’s a party 🎮!
